Motive ATEX Motors: ANY

Here they are a couple of clarifications from TÜV that will be included in the next revision of our ATEX certificate. These updates address some doubts raised by a few customers – likely due to a bit of "creative marketing" from our competitors.

What’s Been Clarified?

  1. Compatibility with ATEX Inverters: Contrary to what some might have heard, TÜV has confirmed that our Motive ATEX motors are fully compatible with any ATEX-certified inverter, as long as they meet the basic requirements outlined in our manual. So no, you’re not locked into using our inverters only – feel free to mix and match with other brands!

  2. More than Just S1 Mode: There was also a rumor going around that our motors could only operate in continuous duty mode (S1). TÜV cleared this up by confirming that our ATEX motors are good to go for a whole range of service modes – S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, and S9 – all while keeping their ATEX certification intact.
